Harlee's Birthday Party

Well, we had Harlee's birthday party a week before her birthday because, as most of you know, we are going to be gone to Florida on her actual birthday!

I don't have much time as I am trying to get the house organized and kindof ready to head out of town, but wanted to share a couple pictures from her party!

Twinkle Twinkle

Ok, so I still haven't taken pictures of the finished playhouse, but I will. Today is the last nice day of weather for awhile so I need to take them!

What I did do was get a video of Harlee singing Twinkle Twinkle. She messes up the words a little and she isn't really all that clear. I told her that I would open her yogurt if she sang it so that is why she says that at the end...cute if I do say so myself!

Myriah got to England safe and sound and are starting to get adjusted! They are still in temp housing though. I LOVE LOVE LOVE being able to chat with her online. We use MSN Messenger, it is great!

We are getting ready for Florida. Since we are not having that great of weather, I am able to get out our summer clothes and get them packed, pretty nice! We don't leave for another 8 days, but I will be ready!

Tax Day

Tax day doesn't really mean anything to me, does it to you? Well, I guess last year it did, when we had to pay into taxes so I postponed sending that check in until the last minute, but if I am getting money back, I want it back ASAP! :)

This year tax day meant that my best friend in the whole world is moving to another country...England! I can't wait to go visit, but I am sad too. As I am typing this they are fast forwarding about 8 hours ahead of me while in the air. If I have my calculations correct they will be landing in beautiful England in about 2 hours and 10 min. I can't wait to hear that they are safe and sound!



Anyways, onto what I have to say today. We had a fantastic weekend with BEAUTIFUL weather on Saturday and decent weather on Sunday and then came Monday...back to Saturday...we played outside, raked pine needles and just enjoyed the sun. Sunday after church we started putting Harlee's playhouse together...































On Monday it was finished, BUT I haven't taken any pictures yet...darn it, it is dark outside now! I will take them and post them soon, I promise!

I work tomorrow and then starts the party prepping chaos! Harlee's birthday party is this Sunday. I will get the food Saturday, but everything else on Thursday and then Friday will be clean until I fall over day!

Hmmm, the little munchkin is in her room crying after being asleep for 30 min...not sure what is up with her!

Ok, better go for now, I will post the finished playhouse soon...it is SO cute!

The pictures you have all been waiting for!

Ok, so the pictures didn't turn out all that great and it is hard to actually tell what her new cut is like, but it turned out really cute. When the lady got done, I wasn't so sure it was short enough and then we were outside playing and it is definitely shorter...I LOVE IT!

It is SUPER nice outside today. Harlee played and didn't want to come in for her nap, BUT she had to because she needed to be well rested for swimming!

I am not writing to myself!

Just wanted to say that I realize I am not writing to myself. What a wonderful feeling that is! I am glad you are all out there reading my blog! I just find this a fun way to connect with family and friends that are far away (and even close!)

Rach: Ugg, dang chlorine! As far as Dustin being in the pool for swim lessons, I doubt that will happen again :) We should take the kiddos to the pool this summer!

Things have quieted down around here tonight. I just finished doing some bookkeeping and am getting ready for bed myself. I work tomorrow and Wednesday. The rest of the week is full, like usual, but I LOVE it! We are supposed to have BEAUTIFUL weather this weekend...bye bye cold, cloudy, snowy weather...HELLO sunshine! I will be taking Harlee to the park FOR SURE!

Did I mention that Harlee is getting her first haircut on Friday? I don't think I did, but if I did, sorry for repeating myself! I am taking her to a kids haircut place here in town...forgetting what it is called at the moment. I am hoping to take LOTS of pics! The only thing is that she doesn't have much hair and I like that it is getting long. I don't like how uneven and messy it looks ALL THE TIME! I am thinking about getting her bangs trimmed and cutting some of the length to try and even it out. Dustin is not really keen on the idea as he wants her to have long hair and long bangs. I think that he will LOVE her new look because it is going to be as cute as can be! If anyone has any ideas other than the one I have, feel free to let me know!

Ok, I guess I better call it good there...

Feel like I am writing to myself...

Nothing real new going on here in Bend today...at least not in our lives! Dustin is sleeping in and then will most likely work out in the yard. It isn't the nicest day, but a good day for burning pine needles and raking! Harlee is watching Dora and I am online! Harlee and I are going to get ready to go run a couple errands this morning and then it is back home for the day!

I spent most of my weekend scrapbooking and boy did I get a lot accomplished! I can't even believe it! I am almost 100% caught up and would like that to happen before we head to Florida in 3 weeks so that I can scrapbook all the fun we will be having there!

Harlee's Jeep and Swim Lessons!

Ok, yesterday was a big day for Harlee, she drove her Jeep for the first time and then an hour later had swim lessons!

She had so much fun driving her Jeep...here she is!

She was a natural in the pool too! Dustin took her and I took the pictures...it was so fun to watch!

We can't wait until next week now!

Camping trip cancelled

Oh I am soooo sad, but the weather is just too much to take the trailer out. Right now it is sunny outside, but it is super windy and it keeps spitting snow! It is supposed to rain on Sunday so we don't want to just take it out for one night, so we will have to wait until May to take it out...SAD! Oh well...that is Bend in April!

Other than that things haven't changed...still taking Harlee to swim lessons tonight and then going out with some of my friends tonight! I can't wait!

Almost camping day!

Ok, I just thought I would write a little today because I probably won't write again until Monday or Tuesday when we get back from camping.

It is going to be a little chilly up camping this weekend, but we are super excited non-the-less! I have a couple things to do to finish getting the trailer ready, but not much.

The only thing I am worried about is that Harlee's bed in the trailer is more of a "big girl" bed and she has never slept in one of those before. This will be a true test! I am thinking about buying one of those "guards" to see if it will fit on that bed and then I wouldn't have to worry so much! Other than that, I am ready to get out of town!

We have some friends coming up for the day on Sat. with their boat. Yes, I said that it is going to be a little chilly, but their boat has a cover and a heater! We will see if Harlee will want to go for a little ride or not! We bought her a life jacket this year so she is set! Then Sat. night some friends are coming up to camp for the night, so that will be fun. We will have a few drinks and sit by the fire! Then Sunday afternoon, my mom and dad are coming up to play and have dinner. That is going to be a lot of fun too!

Harlee is going to drive her Jeep for the first time, so I will have lots of pictures to show, I am sure!

Ok, out to the garage to clean up the Jeep!!!

April Fool's Day

Maybe that is what Harlee was doing...playing an April Fool's joke on me. Too bad she didn't say "April Fools" before she went to bed!

Oh my goodness, what a crabby pants she was tonight! I am chalking it up to either a short or no nap at the babysitters. She said that she put her down, but she didn't think that she actually fell asleep...bummer!

I was trying to do a short workout video and she threw her Elmo DVD case at me and said "no, Elmo", which translates into I want Elmo! That translated into a timeout and no TV the rest of the night!

Ok, it seems like the past 2 days I have written about how Harlee hasn't been good. She does have her good moments, don't get me wrong, but I think we have hit the "terrible 2's"!
