Playing in the snow

Last night Harlee REALLY wanted to go play in the snow, so I got her suited up and we went outside. The pictures make it look like it was SUPER late, but it wasn't totally dark yet.

The finished product...don't mind the pine needles, this was on our deck and the snow isn't that deep right now!

What I have accomplished today...

So I read another blog and she is like wonder woman, he name is Kaycee. Anyways, she put up a post today and in it she wrote what she accomplished today. I thought I would write down what I accomplished today, maybe it will make me feel like I got more done, or maybe not! We shall see...

3 loads of laundry, washed, dried, folded (not yet put away)
Finished up my Christmas shopping by going to 3 stores
Did some bookkeeping work
Balanced my checkbook
Unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher
Nope, don't even compare! Oh well! I am going to be getting ready for my work Christmas party here soon. Harlee is spending the night with Grandma Kimi and Grandpa Dave so Dustin and I can go and not have to worry about hurrying home.
I am hoping that it snows like they say it is going to tonight so Harlee can play outside in it tomorrow and I can take pictures!
Speaking of pictures, I have taken so many lately, I need to start developing them and then have a scrapbook day in January so that I can get them in Harlee's album before the baby comes!
Anyways, Happy Friday to all!

The decorated tree

Harlee and I just got finished decorating the tree. Keep in mind that I am almost 7 months pregnant so I definitely didn't decorate as much as I normally would. Also, we don't have a tree topper, boo! I need to pick one up. Here is a picture!

Christmas Tree Hunting...

Dustin, Harlee and I went out to the woods today and found ourselves a Christmas Tree. Dustin is currently working on getting it in the stand and in the house so I will post those pics later!

And we are off to find that perfect tree!
Covering our ears because the chainsaw is running
Looking at the tree we found before we cut it down
There it is! Our tree!
On the way down Harlee had to potty, I got her pants down and she started going before she squated...this is a hard thing to teach little girls...boys have it MUCH easier in the woods!

The only other pants we had were her snow pants, but she was ok with that.
Having lunch on the tailgate
Our little family
Harlee and daddy drinking their hot chocolate
Harlee's little owie...she fell a couple times and this was her only war wound

Harlee got her big girl bed!

So about a month ago or so, my mom and dad bought Harlee her big girl bed. I couldn't wait to put it together, but had to wait until my dad painted the baby room so that there was some place to put the toddler bed/crib. So, the room is painted and Harlee's big girl bed is put together. We took her to the store last night to let her pick out a bedding set. She wanted Dora, but daddy talked her into the one you will see in the pictures. I am glad he did, it is SUPER cute! The only problem is that she had a REALLY hard time going to sleep last night. I am not sure if it was the new bed, but I think it might have been because one of the MANY times I went in there because she was crying SUPER hard, she told me, "I want my old bed back". Well, daddy finally was able to get her all tucked in, but used her old covers and pillow. Here are some pictures of last night.

Right after it was all put together

All cuddled up

Pretending to sleep

All done except for some moving of toys under the bed and then a few more "ideas" I have in my head!

Stuff

I have had a blah day today. I woke up for work, got lunches together, took Harlee to the babysitters and off to work I went. I started having hot flashes and almost passed out at work, then just felt REALLY weak and TIRED ALL day long. It was just a weird long blah day.

Well, I picked Harlee up from the babysitters and she said that she didn't think that Harlee slept during her nap at all. I can confirm that one...she was SO emotional tonight and that means she had no nap! This little girl NEEDS a nap still for her and for us in the evenings...lol!

So, I put her to bed and she is having SERIOUS going to bed issues. Ok, so at naptime at home, I let her play in her room and then she puts herself to bed, no fussing nothing...she is SUPER good about it. Bedtime is a TOTALLY different story. Tonight she went to bed without making a peep, well, I went in my room and was watching TV. I went out to the kitchen to get a bowl of cereal and she was doing her hyperventilating cry...it is awful! I went in and she told me that she wanted to go to bed with me...not making that a habit, that is for sure! Then she said she wanted one more prayer...she says this EVERY night. THEN she wanted her door left open. I went ahead and left it cracked with the stipulation that she wouldn't get out of bed. She was asleep in a matter of seconds, then I shut the door. But still, this AWFUL cry at bedtime HAS TO STOP! I am thinking that maybe it has something to do with the fact that she knows change is on the way with her baby brother coming, but I don't know what to do about it.

Why am I writing all of this? Not sure, just needed to "chat"!

Now I am watching my FAVORITE show, the Biggest Loser! I can't wait for the finale next week, well, I can because that means it is almost over and then what will I watch???

Off to see the weigh in!

Harlee visited Santa and wasn't scared AT ALL!

Ok, so last year and for at least 6 months afterwards Harlee said, "I scared Santa" and wanted nothing to do with him. This year, he is ALL she talks about! So...we decided to see if she would really go sit on his lap like she said she would or see if she would get scared, well...she liked him! We were TOTALLY impressed! When we left, she kept telling us things that she forgot to tell Santa...lol!
